In the undulating hills north of Verona, where olive groves meet stone terraces and cool breezes sweep down from the Lessini Mountains, lies Valpolicella — the cradle of Italy’s most soulful reds. This Ripasso Superiore is made by a second fermentation of Valpolicella wine on the pomace of Amarone — the dried grapes that give life to the region’s most celebrated treasure. The process deepens the colour and texture, lending notes of dried cherries, plum, cocoa, and spice.
The limestone and clay soils of the Classico zone create a perfect tension between richness and minerality, while the long aging in Slavonian oak brings softness and depth. The result is a wine of velvet structure, fragrant warmth, and lingering complexity — the taste of autumn evenings and candlelit conversation.
